Omori Style Waves Fuchi Kashira Set
The Omori school was famous for their carvings of waves that exhibited superb form and lively movement. This set is unusual in that the set has a pseudo-Higo style of shape to them yet they are still carved with depth and character of the Omori school on a beautiful shakudo base.
They are a very large set with the fuchi measuring 41.5 mm x 24 mm making them that much more unique and desirable. Many of the Omori school works one might encounter today are signed, but many are gimei. This set is ubu and mumei and would be an excellent candidate for submission to shinsa for papers. The condition of this set is excellent and the custom fitted box and pillow are included.
